Sample Preparation Guide
Everything you need to know about preparing and shipping your peptide samples for testing.
Sample Requirements
We accept peptide samples in lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder or reconstituted solution form. Each sample should meet the following minimum requirements:
Label Your Samples
Proper labelling ensures the lab can match each sample to the correct order. This is especially important for multi-sample orders.
- Write your Order Reference (e.g., GL-A3F7B2-KPVX) on the outer package
- For multi-sample orders, label each vial with its Item Reference shown on your packing sheet
- Include a printed copy of your packing sheet (downloadable from your order confirmation)
Package Securely
Peptides are sensitive to heat and moisture. Proper packaging protects sample integrity during transit.
- Place vials in a small sealed bag (ziplock or similar)
- Wrap with bubble wrap or tissue to prevent breakage
- Use a padded envelope or small box for outer packaging
- No cold chain or ice packs required for lyophilised powder, ambient shipping is fine
Ship to the Lab
The shipping address is shown on your payment confirmation page and packing sheet. You can also find it in your confirmation email.
The main lab is a staffed address, so any tracked courier service is fine, signature or not.
Endotoxin Orders
If your order includes endotoxin (LAL) testing, it's performed at a specialist facility. You'll see a separate shipping address on your confirmation page if this applies to your order.
- Combined orders: send HPLC/LC-MS samples to the main lab and endotoxin samples to the specialist lab — two shipments
- Endotoxin-only orders: send directly to the specialist lab — one shipment
- Both addresses are clearly labelled on your payment confirmation and packing sheet
What Happens Next
Once the lab receives your sample, analysis begins.
